Je T'aime Granny Chic!

Bonjour, hallo, merhba, zdravo, and good morning to You!

It's so wonderful to be in touch again. I have been a little distracted from my posts of late, flitting here and there, getting ready for our next big European Adventure and learning to crochet! Oh, what joy!

I have joined the Meet Me At Mike's, Granny 'A Day' project, and I love it! Pip has kindly posted an easy peasy, lemon squeezy tutorial to follow for a traditional granny square. One snuggly, winter throw coming up...

I also used this pattern from The Sunroom to make a simple flower granny square, and this tutorial by Teresa Richardson to create a loopy flower, though instead of creating a loopy square to match I made the flower and then continued the square in the traditional form which was much easier for a beginner like myself!

I am going to go for an eclectic mix of colours and patterns, inspired by the plants that are and that once were in my garden.

These gorgeous squares remind me of my Grandma who used to make lots of blankets and so I will be naming mine in honour of her... To be revealed upon the grand unveiling!

Until we meet again,
Au revoir, Dag, Sahha and Na Svidenje.

Words of Wednesday

My Autumnal Japanese Windflowers are in full bloom now!

In My Garden On This Rainy Autumn Day...

Native Violets gather round...

Looking this way, looking that way; very curious indeed.

Standing tall on their dark, slender stems...

The buds of the Windflower bow their heads...

Over a silvery, spider web.

I think fairies must love my garden...

It must be like their own Lothlorien...

In my garden on this rainy Autumn day...

The Last Few Days of Summer...

Mr Feet o'th Ground and I went on a mini holiday...

We paddled kayaks in the rain...

And swam in the deep blue sea...

Lazed on the bright, white sands...

Read books under our umbrella...

Chatted. Laughed....

Enjoyed the little things in life...
